The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the works of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. (Psalm 19:1-2)

4Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun. (Psalm 19:4)

4The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. (Psalm 29:4)

5God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. (Job 37:5)

5Great is our LORD and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. (Psalm 147:5)

14Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding? (Isaiah 40:14)

20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities –his eternal power and divine nature –have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. (Romans 1:20)

3When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, 4what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? 5You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. 6You made them ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet; (Psalm 8:3-6)

24How many are your works, LORD! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. (Psalm 104:24)

LORD, what are human beings that you care for them, mere mortals that you think of them? 4They are like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow. (Psalm 144:3-4)

8Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. (Isaiah 64:8)

24This is what the LORD says–your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the LORD, the maker of all things, who stretches out the heavens, who spreads out the earth by myself, 25who foils the signs of false prophets and makes fools of diviners, who overthrows the learning of the wise and turns it into nonsense, 26who carries out the words of his servants and fulfills the predictions of his messengers, who says of Jerusalem, “It shall be inhabited,” of the towns of Judah, “They shall be rebuilt,” and of their ruins, “I will restore them,” (Isaiah 44:24-26)

11Who has a claim against me that I must pay? Everything under heaven belongs to me. (Job 41:11)

10 He says, “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10)

4The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens. 5Who is like the Lord our God, the One who sits enthroned on high, 6who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth? 7He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; 8he seats them with princes, with the princes of their people. 9He settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children. (Psalm 113:4-9)

28Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. (Isaiah 40:28)

5Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced. (1 Chronicles 16:12)

7The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy. 8They are established for ever and ever, enacted in faithfulness and uprightness. 9He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever––holy and awesome is his name. (Psalm 111:7-9)

13He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and who reveals his thoughts to mankind, he who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the heights of the earth––the LORD God Almighty is his name. (Amos 4:13)

47Save us, LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise. (Psalm 106:47)

9Help us, God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name’s sake. (Psalm 79:9)

1Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. (Psalm 115:1)

9Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 10Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty –he is the King of glory. (Psalm 24:9-10)

3The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. (Hebrews 1:3-4)

19The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. (Psalm 103:19)

7The LORD reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment. 8He rules the world in righteousness and judges the people with equity. (Psalm 9:7-8)

4Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him. (Isaiah 64:4)

7Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. (Psalm 139:7-10)

5Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy. (Psalm 99:5)

9Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the Lord our God is holy. (Psalm 99:9)

10He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. (Job 9:10)

1The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; (Psalm 24:1)

27All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, 28for dominion belongs to the LORD and he rules over the nations. (Psalm 22:27-28)

19Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. (Psalm 72:19)

31May the glory of the LORD endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works- (Psalm 104:31)

29Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. (Psalm 118:29)

I am the LORD; that is my name!
I will not yield my glory to another
or my praise to idols.
(Isaiah 42:8)

PRAYER OF GLORY

Father, You are God. There is no other like You. In You, all that is good is made perfect. The nature of Your Eternal Being escapes our comprehension. Your omnipotence and omnipresence are beyond the scope of our understanding. By Your hand has all of Creation come into existence. We look in awe at the magnificence of Your work, and we are humbled by our own limitations. You are the God who performs miracles and who speaks through prophets. You are the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; and You are the God of all that is yet to be. To You belong all the glory and honor from our hearts and from our mouths. To You, we raise our hands with gratitude and our voices with songs of praise. To You, we offer up prayers of thanksgiving that glorify You. Father, teach us how to better praise Your worthiness in our unworthiness, that we may better give You the honor which Your glory is due. Help me, Father, to honestly recognize and acknowledge Your greatness. Help me to magnify You and to minimize me. You, God, alone are Holy. You are the all-powerful God Jehovah. All of Creation will bow to Your Holiness. Your Glory is forever. It has no end.
