I said to the LORD, “You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing.” (Psalm 16:2)

14But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. (2 Corinthians 2:14)

28Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,” (Hebrews 12:28)

15Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, through psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word of deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Colossians 3:15-17)

PRAYER OF THANKFULNESS

I thank You, Father, from the depths of my heart and mind—my soul. My heart is full of gratitude, whether it is bursting with happiness or sobbing in despair. My thoughts of You reflect my thankfulness, whether I am living in plenty or in famine. My soul sings songs of thankful praise, whether I stand before Your throne or alone in feelings of isolation. In all circumstances, my whole being cries out with joyful thanks, for You, Lord, have loved me unconditionally. And, unconditionally, I offer my life back to You in humility and gratitude. My offering to You is my contrite heart, that You might accomplish Your will through me. Even my life, Father, is a gift too small for the thankfulness of my being to express. But in joy, You magnify my life to fulfill its purpose in Your kingdom. I bow before Your magnificent Presence in humbleness for the right to call you Father. I rejoice in the love that You lavish upon me, as it overflows to others around me. I thank You for the gift of unshakeable peace that comes from You alone. I awake every morning to the joy of living in the victory and hope of Your promises for both today and tomorrow.
