PRAYER OF JOY

The joy of salvation is upon me, Lord. I live by the joyful beating of my heart to the rhythm of Your love. The wonder of Your Creation fills my heart and emerges from my mouth in songs of praise. Your song of life sings to my spirit, and I delight being in Your presence. My legs dance in celebration, as You strengthen me, and then kneel in wordless humbleness, as Your love overwhelms me. The sun of righteousness shines upon me and reveals the Truth that sets me free to worship You with my entire being. You have brought me out of a cocoon of darkness to soar on the wings of Your glory. You have freed me from the prison of my sin and colored my life with the rainbow of Your promises. I live, triumphant over death through Christ, and my gratitude cannot be contained. Through the grace and mercy of Your love alone, Lord, am I crowned as a child of Your heavenly Kingdom. You, Lord, have overcome the world, and I am overcome with awe by Your majesty. You, God, are eternal, and my joy in You is everlasting, in this world and the next.
